- This book caught me totally off gaurd. I had bought another one of this artists books about a month ago (50 Unicorns) and was very pleased, so I thought that I would take one more chance. I am so happy that I did!
First of all, unlike so many books that much more expensive than this, it is original artwork. This book is not full of the stock pictures that we are all so tired of. Not only is the artwork original, but it's absolutely wonderful. When the title of the book says "Springtime"; it most assuredly is. Now, I wouldn't necessarily call this art "mandalas"; but wonderful little vignettes about spring and Easter. The pictures range from florals, to adorable animals, to Easter bunnies and eggs. Each picture will surely bring a smile to your face. I would say that this book is appropriate for all skill levels, as well as any age. The pictures maybe a little too much for younger children, as there is probably too much small details. On the whole I would recommend it for everyone. What a wonderful gift for a shut in, or an Easter gift with a pack of pencils or gel pens.
This book is comprised of typical Create Space paper. Many of you don't mind the paper, while others, like myself, prefer to copy the page to my favorite paper.
I would highly recommend this book without a second thought. I would also suggest that you take a serious look at other books by this artist.
On a side note, I read in many, many reviews complaints that books don't have perforated pages. There is a really simple, inexpensive solution to this problem. sells a page perforater for around $5. I have been using mine for several years and it's still working like a dream.
Have a happy and blessed day. Oh.....and color on!! - I was very pleasantly surprised by this book. It’s on typical create space paper but the images are beautiful. There are lots of flowers, bunnies & birds. I think it’s more Easter than Spring though. Since the paper is thin I’d use colored pencils but you could probably use markers if you put a few pieces of paper behind the page your coloring in case there’s bleed through. I’ll definitely buy more books by this artist.
- Just got this book and love it! All of the pictures are so pretty and well drawn. All are one sided and the paper quality is good.
- I took off one star because most of the pictures are of Easter eggs. It's not really a Mandala book either because most of them have a single picture in the center, instead of repeated designs, like a kaleidoscope. Wish there weren't so many Easter eggs.
- It is a nice coloring book for spring & easter. I enjoyed coloring the many pages
